Stand and Deliver

Shawn Heins has just done a stellar job for the San Jose Sharks, who are off to a phenomenal start to the season. He is contributing big time on defence and he had a hell of a fight two weeks ago with Ian Lapérière from LA who can throw 'em pretty good, so a tip of the hat to Shawn Heins from Eganville.
Shean Donovan from Carleton Place who picked up his first hat-trick in the NHL.
I really got to give the nod to Scotty Bowman for his remarkable record. He took over the reigns in the NHL in St. Louis from Lynn Patrick, and ironically enough the very first game Scotty Bowman ever coached in the NHL was against the Montreal Canadiens and Toe Blake. How do you beat that for starting your NHL career. You look across the ice and there is Mr. Toe Blake the fedora and all. So that's how it started for Scotty back in 1967 and to think he's still going for now over 2000 games is absolutely unbelievable.
Scotty Bowman: All-time winningest NHL coach in both regular season and playoffs over 26 seasons; coached a record-tying eight Stanley Cup winners with Montreal (1973,76-79), Pittsburgh (1992) and Detroit (1997,98).
